(More customer reviews)Mounting this wheel/tire rack is a mostly simple process. The base plate mounts with heavy duty screws into wall studs. It is set up for 16" centered studs, but you can drill more holes for any stud spacing. Then you can slide the two end brackets into the base plate. The little trickier part is to next install the three horizontal, adjustable steel bars so your tires size(s) fit OK. It took me 2 trial settings before settling on a good "fit." This process can be a pain if you do it like I did. I put the unit high on my garage wall which meant I carried a wheel/tire up a step ladder. Since I didn't already mark which holes to put the horizontal into, changing the setting twice after the initial one meant carrying the wheel/tire up the ladder 3 times. A smarter way would be to leave the end brackets on the floor and loosely install the horizontal bars, try a wheel/tire on it by tipping the unit backwards to get the tire off the floor so it hangs on the bars. Mark which holes to put the bars and then assemble all the pieces onto the wall bracket.
Unit is sturdy and very good overall quality.
