(More customer reviews)I keep an adult red-eared slider semi-aquatic turtle who is very very very messy... like most turtle owners I have struggled to keep the water clean over the years ( frequent water changes- replacing filter cartridges having been a must.) My previous filter was destroyed by the turtle and I started looking online for a replacement. I wanted a high performance filter. I bought this filter about a month ago and have been amazed since then. I keep the animal in a pre-formed pond liner in my kitchen with around 60 gallons of water. I have not so far have had to change the water ( just add some) and it is clear and free of odors. The carbon in the filter really does wonder at purifying and the blue sleeve catches the debris very well. I have replaced the sleeve twice and the carbon once in a month time. The bio wheels are I think a must for turtles as they oxygenate the water and create more movement. I had to modified the set-up a bit in order to instal it on the pond liner instead of an aquarium, which took a little time, but so far have had zero problems. I highly recommend this product to anybody who takes care of turtles. It is powerful, quiet and very well made.

Spending $80 to thwart a pesky would be ID Thief from walking by and snagging your mail in less than a second is money well spent by investing in this mailbox. Lets face it, crooks are easy opportunists and always exploit the easiest target. With that said, this mail box does offer a first defense against the "quick pickers" and once they see the locking door inside the box, they will move to the next without hesitation.
Pros: Strong, sturdy mailbox with a locking mechanism that is tough too. Easy to mount right from the box to the post.
Semi-Cons: Not the most secure locking mailbox on the market, but again it does offer first defense security. Scratches easily
Note and observations: This sucker is LARGE as described, Dimensions (in): 23.4 x 12.9 x 12.8! Make sure you measure your current post to ensure it will handle this beast! Also, I'd be more worried about someone stealing the whole mailbox rather than the mail inside, its just that nice of a mailbox.
Recommendations: Buy it if your are somewhat paranoid about having a curbside residential mailbox and concerned about the "Quick Picker" mail thieves.
If you think the government or every thief is out to get you, look into a more secure mailbox. Just keep in mind, even the most secured and most expensive mailboxes can be compromised given enough time - just depends on your situation and surroundings.
Final thoughts: I live in a good/average community with "nosy neighbors" so I am lucky in those respects. With that, I felt I didn't need a Fort Knox, top of the line full security type mailbox... Hopefully.
But, in never having a curbside mailbox before. I felt it was just too easy for someone to walk by and take advantage without having some sort of security in place. I truly felt this was the best option for the money and for my circumstance.

I feel the build quality of the station is very good.
I did have a problem with the station I received (it would randomly drop some outside sensor data) . Dealing with Tycon Power's
(seller) costumer service/tech support was a very positive experiance, all done via E mail. It appeared that they (cs/ts) didn't have any other problems to resolve but mine.
Cumulus (donationware) from [...] can be used with the ProWeatherStation if you want to upload
your data to the internet. (the included software does not have the internet feature)

It has plenty of room for two or three kids to play and both the duplos and regular legos fit on the table. My only complaint is that the table is VERY short. I also have an 8 year old son and he plays at the table just as much as my 4 year old. We cannot find chairs small enough to fit under this table. I guess they think kids will stand to play, but my kids want to sit and even our smallest kids chairs(from Step 2) do not fit under the table. I think I will have to buy some wooden blocks to extend the legs so we can fit chairs under there. Other then the height, this is a fantastic table for kids of all ages.

Super Pet Habitat Defined Rat Habitat Review

(More customer reviews)I wanted to leave a positive rating for this cage, because I believe its the best investment I made for my 2 adult male ratties. I've had the cage for 6 months.
SPACE: This cage can comfortably fit 2 rats (no more). You should always buy rats in pairs, especially if you buy this cage. Its just as easy to take care of two rats as it is one. This cage could NOT hold a third rat.
LEVELS: Okay, so these were not build well. They have small plastic wedges that "sit" on the wire bars. It will not support a full grown rat. However, I use large black binder clips and clip the level to the bars from the outside of the cage. Voila, no more issues. The levels have solid bottoms to protect the ratties feet and raised edges to keep things (food, liquid) from dripping/falling down.
RAMPS: The ramps are a bit cumbersome, and I wish the levels/platforms were not rounded towards the inside of the cage. The ramps won't fit on the rounded edges, so the ramp more or less has to stay pretty close to the center of level. If you have full grown rats, you can move the levels in several
configurations without using all of the ramps, which really helps with space.
DOORS: There are three easy to open doors to reach your animal *comfortably* at all levels of the cage. At first I thought it was silly, but I will never buy a cage without 3+ doors again. The locks are simple, but covered by large plastic pieces, to keep those clever rats at bay.
CLEANING: The entire top easily comes off with two slide latches. The same with the cage to the base. I remove the cage from the base, empty the base and wipe out with a sponge. I wipe down the levels and ramps. Once a month I take all the levels and ramps out for a good scrub down. I put newspaper down on the levels, because my ratties are very messy. I use the black binder clips to hold down the newspaper as well as secure the level.
BARS: No sharp edges (any hooks face outwards). My ratties like to climb on the bar cages. The bars are so close together that the rats really haven't taken a habit to chewing on them (at all). Yes you can pull the bars apart, but you have to make a point of it.
BASE: The base is nice, because you don't have bedding EVERYWHERE. However with a lower level attached, it can be difficult to access for spot cleaning. Also, there isn't much
room if you want a litter box down there (and no where to clamp things in the base. I've put a crack in one of the plastic latches, you have to be careful when you set the cage back down on the base. It hasn't really been an issue though.
TOP: The solid top limits the stuff you cn hang from it. The only bars are on the door that opens upward. However, I have had great luck hooking things to the sides of the walls (such as a homemade hammock)
FOOD DISH: It comes with a food dish that clamps to the bars. I like it, but it took me a good minute to figure out how to initially install it. If your ratties like to push it off its clamp, then its going to happen.
OVERALL: I really enjoy this cage and with my modification of the clips, I think it was well worth the price. The only reason I would not purchase this cage again, would be if I wanted three or more rats.

Department 56 Snow Village Colonial Revival Review

It's a colonial from Department 56 (a strange name for a company) that specializes in Christmas and Halloween table decorations (where I draw the line). The ceramic "home" contains a hole at the bottom to accommodate an inch long thin bulb that will give the appearance of the house being occupied, or at least lighted. It is held in place by metal clips that have a strong resistance or tension that guarantees it will stay in place. Between the bulb and the plug is a white cord approximately 4 1/2 feet long with a "wheel-like" on/off switch. The long cord allows flexibility and creativity in where it can be placed.
The Department 56 decorations are becoming quite popular and adorn many homes I visit during the holidays. These village buildings come in a variety of themes from "Ralphie's Village" of "A Christmas Story" fame to a New York City theme, and even a winery. There are also different churches from Catholic to Protestant in case the buyer has a religious preference. Each piece is decorated with festive Christmas wreaths, boughs, and a smattering of "snow" strategically placed on every roof. The colonial house is general enough to be a part of any theme village.
My original thought was to begin a purchase of Dept 56 buildings to replace the older plastic ones that currently make up Pauzerville under my Christmas tree, but if the colonial is an indication, they are a little too large. It's 9 1/2" in width, 8" high, and about 5" in length. Nevertheless, these are pieces that a sentimental person may keep for a lifetime and ensure that it gets passed down to members of the family. Each piece comes in two pieces of styrofoam that fit the piece precisely. The styrofoam is held in place by a sleeve that covers the product.
This is not recommended for you if your idea of Christmas decorations is a silver tree with color pinwheel that makes it shine in different colors. It's probably more for the person who enjoys the smell of a real tree or at least one that is very full, for one who considers decorating the home at Christmas time a labor of love.
Enjoy one in your home. It can go under your tree, on your living room table, on the bookshelf, the hutch or the desk.
Because before you know it, it will be the night before Christmas.

(More customer reviews)This does the job it's supposed to do. Just make sure when you change the battery, you do it within 3 minutes. I forgot about this (and lost the manual!), so I had to go looking online to figure out how to reprogram it with my personal PIN. Fortunately, it's pretty easy to find a manual online, and the alarm is working for me once again.
The battery will need to be changed every other month or so. The alarm is nice and loud, enough to wake most people, even several rooms away. If you're looking for something that's cheap and easy with no monthly service fees, this is for you.
BTW, in response to "Bill" who said there's an American flag on the unit, mine has no such thing. It's clearly marked as made in China but marketed through Universal in Maryland.

I truly regret having purchased this product and this negative experience is likely to affect future similar purchases from Amazon. If it wasn't so difficult I would disassemble the shed, repack it and return it!

(More customer reviews)After reading several reviews for this tent, we knew when we purchased it that we were taking a bit of a risk. However, given the amazingly cheap price compared to other similarly-sized tents, we decided to go ahead and give it a try. The shipping was fast, and we were able to track the tent as it traveled to us. When the box arrived, it was pretty banged up, and had a huge hole in one end. Once we sorted through all the pieces, we were only short one of the 8 feet - not a major deal. We were able to build the tent, with the provided VERY bare-bone directions (it took about 2 hours, with 2 adults and a bunch of helping hands from kids) and it looked great once it was up! However, do NOT plan on being able to use this tent if there is much of a wind - the poles are extremely light-weight, and we did have some bend under high gusts. Along with the fact that the pieces were lightweight, some of them did not "click" together as they are supposed to, so until we got the tent well staked-down, they tended to pull apart, which made building it a bit frustrating. The canopy and sidewalls are made of a lightweight tarp, but since they're white, they look better up than you'd think.
Tent worked wonderfully for our evening party, and came in handy when light rains came through the area. After the party (because I didn't have enough time before it), I called Golf Outlets of America with my order number, and told them the tent had arrived missing one foot, and that several of the poles were bent. The CS rep took all of my information, and within a week, I had replacement parts at no cost to me! Very responsive and receptive. Overall, extremely pleased with the product. Yes, it's a lightweight tent, and yes, it's not of the greatest quality. HOWEVER, take a look at what else is out there... if you only need this for occasional use - it's the perfect solution!
