(More customer reviews)I've used this tape for YEARS. It is amongst the best on the market. The writer that had the tape peel off 3 layers of paint AND the drywall paper must have had defective drywall and/or poor prep on the previous painting jobs. The adhesive is NOT strong enough to pull all of that off after just a few hours. I've left it in place for more than a month with no problem.
