Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)The product description says that it has both Celsius and Fahrenheit scales, but it only has Fahrenheit. Furthermore, this product is not well-built. The top of the glass tube is totally tilted. The quality is so bad that I would suggest everyone who likes Galileo thermometer should look for a Germany-made one.

The fun of it: The Galileo thermometer is colorful and shiny and sure to attract the interest of many; telling the temperature; brightening up the room--and the conversation. The history of it: Galileo discovered that, immersed in liquid filled containers, spheres of different weights rise and fall relative to fluctuations in the temperature of that liquid. The science of it: When the temperature of the liquid in the cylindrical Galileo thermometer drops; the liquid contracts and the spheres drop. When the temperature goes up, the liquid expands; pushing the spheres back up to higher levels within the cylinder. Reading the Galileo is easy. The lowest floating sphere in the upper part of the cylinder pinpoints the temperature on the Fahrenheit and Celsius scales. The liquids not only respond to temperature changes quickly, but also magnify the scales for easy reading at a glance. Best of all, the colorful Galileo thermometer livens up any windowsill, deck, classroom, or courtyard!
