(More customer reviews)The video is actually in reference to Raid's "improved" version of the product, Raid Ant Baits III. It's essentially the exact same product, but with more openings so all those eager (ha) ants can enter to meet their doom. Let's review what bait means. The dictionary states:
BAIT
-noun
1. food, or some substitute, used as a lure in fishing, trapping, etc.
2. a poisoned lure used in exterminating pests.
3. an allurement; enticement
Unfortunately, this product does not exhibit any of the traits of a bait. Ants are in NO WAY drawn to it. In fact, they seem to be repelled. This product is about as likely to kill a colony of ants as a paper clip. Don't believe me, look at the video! I placed two baits in the path of hundreds of ants and stood several minutes and NOT. A. SINGLE. ANT. ENTERED.
The reason I thought to conduct this little test in the first place was because I had several of these traps laid out in the corners and walls of our kitchen (per instructions), and after days of monitoring, had not noticed a single ant in their vicinity (although I had no trouble finding them elsewhere in the kitchen).
Total waste of money.
